The PLAN Network – Procurement Law Academic Network – was set up in 2008 as a permanent global network for academics who are interested in issues relating to public procurement law and regulatory policy. The Network brings together interested academics from all disciplines including those from law, management, economics, political science and public policy.

The Network has three categories of membership:

Academic Membership

This category is for individuals who are employed as full or part time lecturers or researchers at institutions of higher education or are registered for research degrees at such institutions (but not those taking taught courses, who are eligible for associate membership – see below). To register fill in the registration form. You should register with a valid academic email address; if you do not have one your application will be subject to further checks.

Once registered you can:

  • update your profile
  • post messages on the forum
  • contact other members
  • add events on the calender
  • submit news items
  • submit information on research projects

Institutional Membership

Academic institutions of Higher Education (with the power to award degrees) that have a significant presence in the field of public procurement regulation – for example, which have several staff researching in the area and/or provide academic programmes on public procurement – may apply for institutional membership. Note that only institutions that have registered academic members may obtain institutional membership; individuals working or researching at these institutions should also register separately as individual members. Associate Membership

This category is designed for all other interested persons who have an interest in academic work in public procurement regulation, who wish to signal their interest to the academic community. Those who might wish to register include, for example, persons working in government, industry or international organisations and also those taking taught university courses (LLM, MSc, MBA etc).
