News of forthcoming events such as conferences and seminars will be posted here and will appear on the Events section of the website. News of past events may be posted for major academic conferences only, and only where there is something specific to report and/or a web link to papers. The item should be posted in this case by the conference organiser. The site will not carry reports of individual talks at events.
